Try us out

We just wrote the following message to those who signed up that they would like to be invited as beta testers

Welcome to 2007 - and to Imity!
You signed up as an Imity beta tester, and today we’re happy to tell you that we’re ready to create your account.

Sign up here.

We’ve seen this done in less than three minutes.

It’s a beta…

No, really. It is. As you know, that means

  • Bugs.
On some phones, Imity may be acting up. If you experience weird behaviour, please describe it on forum.imity.com. You may also want to try the Generic version of Imity. Find and download it at imity.com/app from your phone’s browser.
  • Constant development.
We’re adding features and correcting bugs by the hour, so - again - please use the forum or your email client.
  • It’s free.
We strongly expect Imity to be free in the future, too. And free in more than one sense of the word, actually: We expect to open source the Java phone application during the first half of 2007.
  • Your feedback is golden.
We love any kind of feedback, really. In the forum, in our mailboxes, any feedback is good feedback. That’s why we’ll probably be getting back in touch in a few weeks to hear your opinions.
We want to hear from you. Our forum is always open for your suggestions, bug reports and general comments.

Have a lot of fun in real life with Imity in your pocket,

All our best,
The Imity Team

That means you too. Give Imity a whirl. It’s more fun if you talk a few friends into joining too…

Talking about bugs. I had signed up to be a beta tester but never got the email. A couple of hours ago I signed up again but I am still waiting for my confirmation email.

Is it one of your bugs or am I the beast itself?

  2. Claus Says:

It’s mostly us… The give us your email box on the front page of www.imity.com still goes to a mailing list only - head on over to http://my.imity.com to create an account.

  3. René Says:

As I got to the point where I was meant to get an confirmation email with an activation link, I believe I actually did create an account?

  4. Claus Says:

Ah. In that case - I hope it’s you (or your spam folder). We have signed more than 100 people up the last 1-2 days using this procedure and none of them reported any problems.

  5. René Says:

It must have been me, as using another email address did the trick. Not sure what happened though. The new address forwarded to the first address without problems.

Thanks for the support, anyway :)

  6. Claus Says:

No sweat. Hope you enjoy playing with Imity.

  7. Josh Says:

i wish I didn’t have to signup before learning my phone (Cing Motorola v551) doesn’t work. I tried all the Motorola files plus the Generic.

Hopefully support for that (and the iPhone!) can be added soon. :D

    Josh

  8. Claus Says:

Sorry to hear that, Josh - the problem with phone compatibility is that we just don’t know yet what works.
We are however working to reverse the signup flow so you can try out the phone before entering data.

  9. Vivek Puri Says:

generic app download links ends up in 404

  10. Claus Says:

Hi Vivek, sorry to hear that. I just tested all the links myself and everything seemed to work just fine. Anybody else have this problem?
